Description

Antimicrobial foam dressing for exudate transfer in the treatment of exuding wounds and burns.

Mepilex® Transfer Ag is an antimicrobial layer designed to allow the transfer of exudate to a secondary dressing. It can be used to treat acute and chronic wounds and exuding burns.

The antimicrobial action reduces the microbial load in the wound. Mepilex® Transfer Ag has been shown to inactivate pathogenic wound microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) within 30 minutes and up to 14 days as demonstrated by in vitro tests. An international consensus document states that antimicrobial action is indicated to help reduce the microbial load in infected wounds. In addition, it acts as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or reinfection.

Mepilex® Transfer Ag gently adheres with Safetac®, the original adhesive silicone contact layer that minimizes pain. This way your patients can experience less pain when changing dressing.

Mepilex® Transfer Ag is designed for a wide range of low to heavily exuding wounds in difficult-to-dress areas, such as foot and leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, neoplastic lesions, partial thickness burns and donor sites, where there is a risk of infection.
