Cream

Natural reducing cream based on ichthyol sulphonate. Free of preservatives and fragrances.
It arises from the dermatological need to have a non-cortisone reducing agent available. It is known, in fact, that cortisone, applied to the skin, causes damage to the skin itself such as atrophy, dilation of the vessels, hair growth. Furthermore, the dermatitis treated with cortisone, over time, tend to worsen and its use induces the "rebound" of the dermatitis, that is, the worsening or aggravation.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The cream contains Ichthyol Sulphonate which is a natural active ingredient known since ancient times. It has mainly reducing, antipruritic and antimicrobial activity.
The anti-inflammatory activity has been attributed both to the inhibition of the release of inflammatory mediators (Leukotrienes) by lymphocytes, both to the inhibition of chemotactic factors for neutrophils, and to the action of receptor for free radicals (free radical scavenger).

It does not contain Vaseline and does not contain water. Therefore it is not occluding and it is not "wetting" for the skin; it is suitable for anti-inflammatory treatments for dermatitis such as Atopic Dermatitis or Psoriasis.
It does not contain preservatives since the ichthyol sulphonate has an antimicrobial action.
Finally, it is fragrance-free. It was preferred to leave the specific odor of Ichthyol Sulphonate rather than add the covering fragrance as the perfumes are poorly tolerated in dermatitis.

METHOD OF USE

It should be applied once a day in a minimal quantity with a lot of massage on the areas to be treated until it is absorbed in the horny layer
