Glycosal what it is for

Glicosal is a hydro-alcoholic solution containing Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid with Micropeeling action able to exfoliate without irritation. Free of preservatives and fragrances.

What is Glycosal

It is formulated with Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid with pharmaceutical grade purity and the concentrations of the two acids have been studied to obtain the Micropeeling effect, i.e. desquamation without causing irritation.

How Glicosal Lotion works

Glycolic Acid is an alpha-hydroxy-acid found naturally in fruit, applied to the skin accelerates the natural desquamation process and stimulates the epidermal cells to reproduce. Salicylic Acid, a beta-hydroxy-acid, is a natural product found in willow bark known for its multiple healing properties. Salicylic acid has scaling and antimicrobial properties. The association of the two natural acids amplifies the properties of each of them. The hydroxy acids contained favor the detachment of the lamellar cells of the stratum corneum, accelerating the normal desquamation process. In this way, a forced cell turnover is obtained, which is very useful in different dermatological disorders. In fact, the stratum corneum thins, allowing the elimination of blackheads or acne microcysts, the packed scales of dandruff, excess pigment from melasma, excess sebum from seborrhea and preventing cut hair from becoming incarnate. Furthermore, by making the cells of the stratum corneum desquamate more quickly, it induces the skin cells to regenerate the lost lamellae, thus activating the whole compartment. Ultimately there is a beneficial regenerative action in case of photoaging or premature aging.
