Multi Safe CU 375 Short is an intrauterine contraceptive device designed to prevent the occurrence of pregnancies. The product is suitable for uteri from 6 to 9 cm. The contraceptive offers virtually total protective coverage from pregnancy. The effectiveness is longer lasting and thanks to the presence of copper (5 years). In fact, several studies have shown that intrauterine devices containing copper are more effective than devices that do not.

Composition and characteristics

Multi Safe CU 375 is made of polyethylene and baric sulphate. The lateral arms of the device are flexible so as not to damage or irritate the uterus, in fact they adhere perfectly to the walls. The trailing arm is wrapped in a copper wire. Multi Safe CU 375 devices prevent pregnancy by preventing fertilization. The contraceptive action probably results from a sterile inflammatory response inside the uterus, which in turn responds to the presence of a foreign body. A whole series of physiological changes occur which are supposed to affect the mobility of spermatozoa to such an extent that fertilization is impossible.
