ACTIVE PRINCIPLES

Beta-carotene: important source of provitamin A, it is not synthesized by the body and therefore it is necessary to take it with the diet.

Lutein , zeaxanthin , cryptoxanthin : carotenoids predominantly present in green leafy vegetables (broccoli, spinach, cabbage and Brussels sprouts) with antioxidant activity.

Lycopene : carotenoid found in nature in the trans isomeric form, which is the most stable, with antioxidant activity.

CURIOSITY

Multicarotene is a supplement that contains a mixture of carotenoids, natural pigmented substances responsible for the different coloring of many red, orange, yellow and green fruits and vegetables.

These compounds exert a significant antioxidant activity that extends throughout the body, assisting and promoting in particular the well-being of sight, skin trophism and prostate functionality.

It has been observed that a higher content of carotenoids in the skin is associated with a more youthful appearance and that the concentrations of these compounds increase with their integration.

Stressful situations such as illness, excessive exposure to sunlight, alcohol consumption, lack of sleep and unhealthy lifestyles can cause a reduction in the concentrations of these pigments in human skin.

Carotenoids, especially lutein and zeaxanthin, are deposited in the retina, where they perform an important defense action.
