MULTIVITAMIN, MULTIMINERAL FOR PREGNANT AND NURSING WOMEN

NALKEVIT® MAMMA tablets is a food supplement based on Vitamins and Minerals, indicated in cases of reduced dietary intake or increased need for these elements. Folic Acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissues in pregnancy and supports normal hematopoiesis. Folic Acid, Iron, Magnesium, Niacin, Vitamins B2, B6, B12 and C contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Copper contributes to the normal transport of iron in the body. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron. Folic Acid, Iron, Zinc and Vitamins B12 and D intervene in the cell division process. Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption / use of Calcium and Phosphorus. Calcium intervenes in the process of cell division and specialization. The supplementary intake of folic acid increases the state of maternal folate. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in the fetus. The target population is made up of women of childbearing age and the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplementary daily intake of 400 mcg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
