The AntiAging Profile (AAP) is a global balance of oxidative stress, that is an evaluation of the balance between the production of free radicals and the antioxidant power. The AntiAging Profile includes the Free Radical Test (FRT) for the determination of free radicals and the Antioxidant Capacity Test (ACT) for the evaluation of the antioxidant power.

It is indicated for taking stock of one's state of aging and health by verifying the level of free radicals present in the body and the antioxidant power: in an anti-aging key, the breakdown of the balance between free radical production and antioxidant power must be considered a danger for the integrity of the organism, for this reason it is necessary to know both the anti-oxidant and the oxidant component.

Who should do it?

It is a test recommended for everyone, regardless of specific pathologies, to evaluate the body's antioxidant power.

In particular, we recommend the Antiaging Profile if:

• You want to monitor the impact on the body of widespread risk factors, such as excessive exposure to UV rays, pollutants, contaminants in food;
• You lead a lifestyle characterized by excessive consumption of cigarettes and alcohol, or you do not exercise sufficient physical activity;
• You have been diagnosed with diseases related to oxidative stress, such as rheumatoid arthritis, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease;
• You want to monitor the effects on the body of particular drug treatments, such as contraceptives, cortisone.

How and where to perform the test?

The test is performed by analyzing a blood sample, and can be requested in analysis laboratories, medical centers and medical spas that offer NatrixLab diagnostic services.
Preparation for the exam: fast for at least 8 hours before blood collection.
