Melatonmed is taken sublingually. The sublingual absorption of the active ingredient has the advantage of being faster and more complete than the traditional oral intake, since the assimilation takes place directly through the dense network of capillaries that vascularize the mucosa of the lower surface of the tongue and the floor of the mouth.

Melatonin was discovered and isolated in 1956 by Aaron Lerner. It is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland, or epiphysis, located at the base of the brain. The activity of this gland is regulated by the light - dark ratio; the secretion of melatonin has a low light rhythm and a dark rhythm with levels at least three times higher, with a peak in the central hours of the night and a progressive decrease as the morning approaches. Melatonin production is high until adolescence and then tends to decline with advancing age.
Melatonin helps alleviate the effects of jet lag. The beneficial effect is obtained by taking a minimum of 0.5 mg shortly before going to bed on the first day of travel and for a few days after arrival at the destination.
Melatonin contributes to the reduction of the time required to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by taking 1 mg of melatonin just before bedtime.
The raw materials used are GMO FREE and ARE NOT RADIATED.

Precautions for use: Do not use during pregnancy and lactation.
