• Borage oil is one of the most important sources of essential fatty acids of the Omega-6 group, in particular of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is essential for the synthesis of type 1 prostaglandins (PGE1). These substances have the important function of inhibiting the inflammatory process and platelet aggregation.
• GLA helps maintain skin integrity by promoting hydration and reducing skin inflammatory processes; it is therefore used in some cases of atopic dermatitis (reduces itching) and in skin disorders of dialysis patients.
• GLA is useful in premenstrual syndromes and in vasomotor disorders of menopause.
• In Menopause there is a natural source of phytoestrogens and isoflavones including diadzein, genistein and glycitein. Phytoestrogens, when metabolized, can help stabilize the estrogen level during menopause. Genistein and diadzein also have an antioxidant activity.
• Green Tea extract is characterized by the presence of molecules with strong antioxidant activities: polyphenols. Among these has emerged, from the studies carried out in recent years, a flavonoid, EGCG (epigallocatechin gallata) with an antioxidant action similar to that of Vitamin E in preserving the membranes of nerve cells from oxidation.
• Vitamin B6 is involved in the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
• Vitamin E is necessary for the normal functions of the sexual organs and helps stabilize the lipid membranes.
• Magnesium, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, Folate and Vitamin B6 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
• Zinc and Vitamin C contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to the normal function of the immune system.
• Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.
• The raw materials used are GMO FREE and ARE NOT RADIATED.
