Klamath (Aphanizomenon flos aquae) is a blue-green algae that grows exclusively in the volcanic lake of the same name in Oregon (USA). This pristine lake is nestled in a large volcanic area that, from distant geological eras, has poured the precious volcanic minerals of the entire area into the lake. The Klamath algae, unlike the common sea algae which are rich in iodine, useful for activating the metabolism, but are not recommended for those suffering from hyperthyroidism, can instead be recommended as a food supplement even for those suffering from thyroid problems, in how much they do not interfere with it, given the almost complete absence of iodine, being a fresh water alga. Considered a super food and from a phytotherapeutic point of view a nutraceutical, designed to help the body maintain a state of well-being and solve various health problems. The klamath, has important nutrients, such as: Vitamins of group B including B12 important for subjects who have high levels of homeocysteine in the blood and therefore more exposed to cardiovascular problems.
