Tabebuja avellanadae Bignoniacee family

Plant native to the Amazon, also known as pau d'arco, lapacho, ipe roxo. Its active ingredients include lapachol, quercitin, xyloidone, tecomina, coenzyme Q10, tannins and other components. The most important active ingredient is lapachol with inhibitory properties towards gram positive bacteria (staphylococci and streptococci) and gram negative (brucella) and fungi (candida albicans). Furthermore, other studies have shown that at a low dosage it has immunological activities while at a higher dosage it has cytotoxic activity. This latter activity is due to one of the active ingredients lapachol. Tabebuja can be used preventively in the cold season, because it has antiviral properties. Also, for gastritis, asthma and to purify the liver and blood. Tabebuja is essentially known to cure the saprophytic fungus candida albicans both present in animal and human species, which is often the basis of certain food allergies. In the so-called candidiasis there is a wide range of symptoms including: cystitis, asthma, arthritis, headaches, meteorism, colitis, hormonal irregularities.
