Aerosol therapy is a technique of administering one or more drugs directly and in a targeted manner into the respiratory tract, by inhalation.
It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of numerous pathologies affecting the upper airways (throat, larynx, pharynx) and lower airways (bronchi, bronchioles, pulmonary alveoli).
The drug, liquid or solid, is nebulized and reduced into many very fine particles by means of a device called a "nebulizer".
