The insecticidal, medicinal and food properties of Neem make it an almost sacred tree, to which the Indians have dedicated a true cult for 6 centuries. They know its virtues well and use them every day, for example to brush their teeth, thanks to a paste made from twigs and Neem rinds.
It enjoys a great reputation for its antiseptic (efficacy tested against the Pseudmonas aerunginosa strain, S. aureus, E. coli, Proteus spp and Klebsiella aerugenes) and purifying properties. Neem oil is extracted from seeds and has moisturizing, regenerating, restructuring properties, which make it effective for treating skin problems, including skin infections. It is indicated for the antiparasitic, antifungal and insect repellent treatment (preventive and curative against mosquitoes), against bacteria and skin fungi.
In veterinary medicine it is used for the care of animal hair, elimination of parasites, removal of flies and blue flies, elimination of fleas and lice.
The insect repellent properties of its leaves are also exploited in agriculture, in fact it is used as an organic insecticide (according to the European regulation concerning products authorized in organic farming no.1488 / 97 of 29 July 1997) which has a very low toxicity on ladybugs and on bees.
Also ideal in compresses for ocular and ear inflammation.
It is rich in poly and monounsaturated fatty acids, therefore it is attributed nourishing, antioxidant, protective, softening, softening and regenerating properties for the skin. It restores radiance and flexibility, preserving the skin from premature aging.

Recommendations for use

External use: by applying a thin layer on the skin surface, pure or mixed with other vegetable oils, a protective and repulsive film is formed, ideal for warding off mosquitoes and parasites. Ideal for mycoses, skin infections, acne and to eliminate dandruff. Suitable for general irritations, skin redness, cracks and wounds; it is used to calm all the itching from bites. Useful in the treatment of some veterinary diseases: mix a few drops of this oil with your usual shampoo, to eliminate parasites and insects (fleas, lice, mites, ticks). It is also used for the care of the hair of dogs, cats, cows, horses and for shearing sheep. In a vaporizer, it is used to ward off flies, mosquitoes and gnats on horses and cows, particularly in summer. For plants, use a preparation of 5% to 10% oil in water and shake vigorously before each use, then spray on the plant to prevent or treat the disease. As an anti-mite it is used to prepare an aqueous solution with 5% of Neem oil in a vaporizer, shake and then spray on mattresses, curtains, etc. (first do a test to check the resistance of the fabric).

Precautions External use, do not swallow. If the smell is too strong, dilute it in another oil.
