It represents the regulating salt of the acid-base balance.
Sodium phosphate is found in abundant quantities in brain cells, muscles, nerves, connective tissues. It intervenes in the processes of elimination of the products of metabolism, of lactic acid in the muscles and in the exchange of oxygen in the blood.
