the Medel NO CONTACT PLUS thermometer is able to detect the correct distance from the forehead for temperature measurement. An audible indicator beeps when the distance is correct. Otherwise the BIP will continue to sound and the thermometer will automatically detect the room temperature by deactivating the LEDs on the power button.
