Polymeric blend ready for use, slightly high-calorie, high-protein (24% of total kcal from proteins), low-fat content (mainly represented by monounsaturated fatty acids), low osmolarity, with fibers. The protein source of Nutrison Protein Advance is Nutrison p4, a blend of animal (whey and casein) and vegetable (soy and pea) proteins designed to guarantee a high chemical score1 (indicative of a high biological value) and high tolerability, this in fact has a low gastric coagulability. 1

Indications

Enteral nutrition of critically ill patients (polytrauma, burns, complicated surgery, infections, sepsis, ALI / ARDS). The increased protein content of Protison (24% of total calories from protein versus 16% of standard blends), allows to meet the increased protein requirement of these patients (1.5 g protein / kg body weight / day) without exceeding in calories (20-25 kcal / kg body weight / day).

Contraindications and precautions

Do not administer to children under 1 year of age and to patients with galactosemia.
Administer with caution to children aged 1 to 6 years.

Dosage

Adults: 1,500-2,000 ml per day or other dosages according to medical prescription
