OLiVET

COMPLEMENTARY FEED FOR DOGS AND CATS

Adjuvant in the treatment of dermatitis and deficiency of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.

OLIVET in an immediately bioavailable form even in the absence of the delta 6 desaturase enzyme (absent in cats and deficient in atopics).

OLIVET is essential in pregnancy, breastfeeding and growth as the EFAs contained form 85% of the membrane phospholipids in the brain.

Due to the high concentration of its components, OLIVET is indicated in all inflammatory and irritative states of the skin, characterized by: itching, redness, flaking, dull and brittle hair, seasonal moult.

OLIVET, rich in EFA, is indicated in pathologies such as: heart disease, renal failure, allergies, atopy, gastrointestinal dysfunctions, osteoarthritis, widespread inflammatory states and debilitating diseases.

POLYUNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS: PUFA ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS: EFA

Present in every cell membrane (cytoplasmic, nuclear, mitochondrial) in the form of Phospholipids. They maintain the fluidity of membranes, modulating protein receptors, ion channels, ATPase enzymes, epidermal barrier avoiding dehydration, hormones, prostaglandins, prostacyclines, thromboxanes, leukotrienes.

OMEGA 6: GLA (Gammalinoleic Ac.) + AC. LINOLEIC VITAMIN E

DELTA 6 DESATURATED:

• Represents the fundamental enzyme and limiting the synthesis of both EFA chains.

• In cats it is absent so the metabolic cascade is impossible if the elements are not taken with food.

• Less activity is documented in atopic, hypothyroid, hyperglycemic and malnourished subjects.

• Since the enzyme is unique, the greater presence of Omega 6 than Omega 3, perform a competitive action which leads to a decrease in the synthesis of the components of the deficient group.
