For the well-being of the eyelids and the periocular area Helps to reduce irritative disorders of the eyelids, characterized by redness of the eyelid edge, often associated with itching and a sensation of a foreign body Optimizes the efficiency of the glands involved in the secretion of the lipid layer of tears, thus promoting the stability of the tear film and its better distribution. Continued use is useful not only for eyelid well-being, but also to physiologically improve the skin of the periocular areas by counteracting the imperfections induced by bags, wrinkles, dark circles.

What Omegalid Ophthalmic Ointment contains

  • Omega 6 and Omega 3 : black currant oil is the only one in nature rich in essential omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids and their polyunsaturated derivatives Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) and Stearidonic acid, precursors of the anti-inflammatory prostaglandins PGE1 and PGE3. It has anti-inflammatory and repairing action on the skin barrier
  • Lipoic acid : it is readily absorbed and transported through cell membranes where it exerts its broad-spectrum antioxidant activity, both in the aqueous compartments (cytoplasm) and in the lipid compartments, counteracting the various free radicals: (hydroperoxides and lipoperoxides). It has synergistic antioxidant activity with glutathione, one of the main physiological antioxidants, present in the eye
  • Hyaluronic Acid : molecule with a high capacity in binding quantities of water, contributing to the maintenance of the biomechanical characteristics of the periocular skin and to the control of Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL)
  • Bisabolol : is active in reducing the activity of lipoxygenase and thus blocking the formation of inflammatory leukotrienes. It has a soothing action, confirmed by an extensive international literature
