One Step Test for SARS-CoV-2 Antigen
(Colloidal Gold)
Description
The test is intended for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens in human nasal swab samples.
This test is used for individuals suspected of having COVID-19 within the first seven days of symptom onset. The test can also be applied to subjects without symptoms.
The results are for SARS-CoV-2 antigen identification.
Positive results indicate the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antigen, but individual medical history and other diagnostic information are required to determine infection status.
Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection. Negative results for individuals with symptoms similar to COVID-19 infection for more than seven days should be treated as negative if possible. If necessary, it should be confirmed by molecular analysis.
The test uses a monoclonal antibody I anti-SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein (protein N) conjugated with colloidal gold coated on the sample pad and another monoclonal antibody anti-SARS-CoV-2 protein N coated on the test line. After the samples have been applied to the test strip, the anti-SARS-CoV-2 protein monoclonal antibody labeled with colloidal gold binds to the SARS-CoV-2 antigens in the sample and forms labeled antigen-antibody complexes.
These complexes move into the detection zone of the Test Card by capillary action. Then the labeled antigen-antibody complexes will be captured on the test line by the monoclonal antibody anti-SARS-CoV-2 protein N.
The color intensity of each test line increases in proportion to the amount of SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the sample.
The SARS-CoV-2 One Step Antigen Test (Colloidal Gold) is intended to aid in the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection. This product is used for self-test.
How to use
Check the integrity of the packaging, components and expiration date. Read the user manual before starting the test.
Open the envelope. Check the results window.
Pour the sample extraction solution into the disposable pipette and insert it into the package.
Open the swab package. Gently insert the tip of the swab into one nostril. Do not insert the swab more than 1.5 cm into the nose. Rotate the swab into the inner wall of the nostril at least 4 times. Repeat the same process with the same swab in the other nostril.
Insert the swab into the disposable pipette and rotate it 10 times in the solution. Press the swab tip 3 times along the inner wall of the disposable pipette.
Close the pipette, invert it and add 2-3 drops of solution to the sample well(s).
Read the result visually in 10-15 minutes, don't read the result after 20 minutes.
Place all contents of the used test kit into the biohazard sample bag provided and discard in household waste. Dispose of all used tests according to local regulations.
Wash hands thoroughly after disposal.
Interpretation of results :
POSITIVE: Both the control line (C) and the test line (T) appear, indicating the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the sample. Any shade of color in the test line (T) should be considered positive. A positive result indicates that the user is likely to have COVID-19. Contact your doctor or local health department immediately. Follow local guidelines for self-isolation. Confirm test results with molecular test method.
NEGATIVE: Only the control line (C) appears and no test line (T) appears. Indicates that no a
