Topical Solution

CE medical device of class I.
Solution based on potassium hydroxide 5% (KOH), intended for the topical therapy of molluscum contagiosum (MC) at home by the patients themselves or by the patients' parents.

It can be used for the treatment of:

• patients at least two years old with single or multiple CD of the body or extremities;
• MC during pregnancy or breastfeeding;
• MC with underlying atopic eczema (always treat eczema in case of inflammation).

Contraindications special warnings

• It must not be used for the treatment of:
• Infants and children under the age of 2;
• MC found on mucous membranes or near the eyes;
• MC perianal area, especially on the penis and vulva;
• MC with underlying congenital or acquired immunodeficiency (HIV);
• Warts, also genital warts as well as senile warts.

For all the cases mentioned there is a lack of data regarding efficacy or tolerability.

Components
1 ml of solution contains 50 mg of potassium hydroxide. Other components: purified water.

How to use
Replace the bottle lid with the lid with the attached plastic spatula.
Write down the date of first use in the box provided on the package.
Use twice a day, preferably morning and evening.
Remove the excess solution on the spatula wet with the product by passing it against the inner surface of the bottle opening. No drops should be visible on the spatula.
Dab each contagious mollusk with the flat part of the spatula and let the solution dry.
After use, screw the lid back on with a spatula.
Stop the application as soon as the inflammation indicates healing of the molluscum contagiosum.
The inflammation can be recognized by a redness that lasts for at least 12 hours.
Stop the application after 14 days of treatment at the latest, even if the inflammation does not appear.
In this case, consult your doctor, who will be able to advise you on how to proceed.
Molluscum contagiosum can take some time to heal.

Warnings
Avoid contact:

• with the eyes;
• the region around the eyes, nose and mouth;
• the region of the genitals;
• on wounds or scratched areas. If Infectodell should touch any of these areas, rinse it immediately with plenty of water.
• Always keep:
• Out of the reach of children.
• In vertical position.
• Well closed.

Always keep the product tightly closed.
The product can be kept for four weeks from the date of first opening.
