Description
Diagnostic strip that estimates thiol levels in saliva. It helps detect laparodontitis in its early stages before any visual signs are present. OraStripdx provides an assessment of animal dental health by indicating the likelihood of significant gingival inflammation and alveolar bone loss.
It consists of a dry porous pad, pretreated with a thiol detection reagent mixture, attached to a plastic holder.

How to use
Gently pass the porous swab of the strip on the margin of the maxillary gingiva for 10 seconds, this is the point where there is the greatest concentration of thiols.
Make sure your tongue does not come into contact with the porous pad of the test strip.
After 10 seconds, the swab will change color from opaque white to varying intensity of yellow, thus showing the concentration of thiols present.
