Organic Whole Grain Black Rice Fior Di Loto
The forbidden rice from the black grain of the ancient Chinese emperors. Black rice originates from China, but is grown in particular areas of the Po Valley. It is a pleasantly aromatic brown rice that releases an aroma between sandalwood and freshly baked bread. The black color is due to the anthocyanin content. Legend has it that Chinese peasants cultivated it only for the emperor and his court who appreciated it for its aphrodisiac properties, hence the name of "forbidden rice".

How to use
Cooking time: 40 minutes. Ideal as a side rice. Excellent as a first course in white, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and Parmesan cheese.
