Otolarisol Fera Pharma Alkaline Solution

Otolarisol is an isotonic saline solution with hyaluronic acid for inhalation use.
Otolarisol, thanks to the presence of hyaluronic acid, hydrates the nasal mucous membranes, reducing the discomfort associated with dryness or irritation. The sodium chloride present at a concentration of 0.9%, gently cleanses the nasal cavities, fluidifying the secretions and facilitating their removal.
Recommended for daily hygiene of the nasal cavities, it is useful in case of colds, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, rhinosinusitis as well as in all those cases in which nasal decongestion is required.

Composition

Water, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Salt, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Phosphate.

How to use

DIRECT IRRIGATION

Snap the cap off the vial with a twisting motion
Keep your head tilted to one side, never backwards
Gently bring the nozzle of the vial to the upper nasal nostril and press lightly to spray
Keep the head tilted to the other side (never backwards) and repeat the spray in the other nostril
The container can be closed by inverting and pressing the cap onto the mouth of the vial

Dosage

Spray half a vial into each nostril 2-3 times a day or more often as needed or according to medical advice.

INHALATION THERAPY

Otolarisol can also be used in the case of inhalation therapy involving the upper airways: in this case, use the appropriate inhalation devices that ensure correct nebulisation and follow the instructions of the chosen device. Use
pneumatic devices only.

Dosage

One vial, 1-2 times a day or according to medical opinion.

In case of using half the dose, the vial must be closed immediately with its cap and must be stored at a temperature between 2 ° C and 8 ° C (in the refrigerator) and used within 12 hours of opening. The vials must be stored in their own
case, at room temperature, away from light and heat. Do not freeze.

Warnings

Keep the internal instructions with the product. Use the product for inhalation therapies only for the upper airways. Keep out of the reach and sight of children in order to avoid incorrect use of the product. Avoid contact with
eyes. Not intended for oral use. Not injectable. The use of several subjects of the same vial can compromise its effectiveness and can cause existing problems to worsen as well as cause problems that were not previously present. Do not use in case of individual hypersensitivity to one of the components of the product. Do not use in cases of epistaxis in progress or just ended, or in case of nasal mucosa not intact. The inhalation of saline solutions in particularly sensitive patients could cause episodes of bronchospasm: in this case, stop the treatment and consult the doctor in order to establish suitable therapy. Do not use after the expiration date or if the package is opened or damaged. The expiry date indicated refers to the intact and correctly stored product. In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and contact your doctor. Do not use in case of accidental contamination after opening. Smoking could compromise the protective effect of hyaluronic acid. The use of this medical device does not replace other treatments prescribed by your doctor. Otolarisol can chemically interfere with various substances if they are mixed with it in the inhalation solution. Do not use Otolarisol simultaneously with other substances unless specifically prescribed by your doctor. In this case, strictly follow the instructions prescribed by your doctor and the instructions for use of the product used in association with Otolarisol. In case of any changes in the appearance of the mixture produced, discontinue the therapy immediately and contact your doctor. Do not use the product in association with quaternary ammonium compounds. The incorrect observance of the warnings and instructions for use could jeopardize the effectiveness of the product or cause the aggravation of existing problems as well as cause the occurrence of problems not previously present.

Resealable vials, use contents within 12 hours of opening. After opening, keep refrigerated.

Side effects

In some cases, the use of the product can cause a slight and transitory sense of local irritation. Hypersensitivity to the components. Prolonged use can give rise to sensitization phenomena: where this occurs, stop the treatment and consult
