PEGinpol is a laxative action product that regulates the intestine, through an osmotic mechanism (draws water into the intestine).

PEGinpol is indicated in chronic constipation and in cases of occasionally irregular bowel.

In fact, thanks to its affinity for water PEGinpol determines a softening of the stool, facilitating the evacuation without causing urgent conditions. Furthermore, it is not absorbed, it does not ferment in the intestine and it does not irritate the mucous membrane, so it does not cause cramps or abdominal pain. It is eliminated in the faeces in an unmodified form.

ITS ACTION DOES NOT REDUCE OVER TIME.

Composition
One pack of PEGinpol sachets contains: 20 single-use 5g sachets of Macrogol 3350.

Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavor, sodium saccharin.
PEGinpol sachets DO NOT CONTAIN GLUTEN AND LACTOSE

How to use
From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg): 1-2 sachets per day

From 2 to 11 years (from 12 Kg to 20 Kg): 2-4 sachets per day
Over 11 years (or weighing more than 20 kg): 2-6 sachets per day.

Dissolve one bag (5 g) in about half a glass of water.

It is possible to divide the daily dosage into several administrations.

The dose can be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. In any case, it is advisable to seek the doctor's opinion for the most correct dosage.
Use the product in children only after medical advice.
Normally the maximum dosage needed does not exceed 6 sachets per day.

WARNINGS
It is advisable not to take quantities greater than those indicated, as higher doses can cause the onset of unexpected side effects.
Do not use PEGinpol for more than 30 consecutive days, if symptoms persist consult your doctor.
Do not take in case of intolerance to the product.
Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to Polyethylene glycol.
Do not use in children under 6 months.
During treatment with PEGinpol it is advisable to follow an adequate diet accompanied by the administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration; however, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
Do not take in case of damaged envelope.
Each sachet is for single use only and should only be taken at the time of use.
If not taken, do not take a double dose, but wait and take the next dose.

Method of conservation
Store in a cool and dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, in the original packaging. Do not use PEGinpol after the expiry date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated refers to the product correctly stored in an unopened package.

Information

Chronic functional constipation of the infant and child is a common gastrointestinal disorder in the first months and years of life. It must be diagnosed by the doctor.

Two approaches can be associated for the treatment of chronic functional constipation in pediatrics:

Non-pharmacological: normal introduction of fiber and fluids in the diet, normal physical activity and possible use of probiotics and prebiotics.
Pharmacological: it is based on two fundamental moments, that is the fecal disimpact (eliminating the faeces present in the intestine), only when necessary, and the subsequent maintenance therapy.

PEG3350 (PEGinpol) is useful for pharmacological treatment, as it is not absorbed in the intestine, it is not metabolized by the intestinal bacterial flora and therefore does not cause cramps or abdominal pain.

It works by recalling water in the lumen of the colon causing rehydration, therefore a softening of the stool, and a mechanical stimulation of intestinal peristalsis.
