Powder medical device for extemporaneous oral suspension useful in the treatment of constipation.

PEGinpol is particularly indicated in chronic constipation and in cases of occasionally irregular bowel.

PEGinpol is a medical device with a laxative action which, through an osmotic action, regulates the intestine in a natural way. In fact, thanks to its affinity for water, PEGinpol softens stools, facilitating evacuation without causing cramps, abdominal pain, or emergency conditions. It is neither absorbed nor fermented in the intestine, it does not irritate the mucosa and is eliminated in the faeces in an unmodified form. Its effectiveness does not decrease over time.

Ingrediants

One bottle contains: 400 g of Macrogol 3350.
Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavor, sodium saccharin.

It does not contain gluten and lactose .

How to use

From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg): 0.8 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
From 2 to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg): 1 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
Over 11 years (or> 20 kg): 10-30 g of product per day.
The dose may be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. The most correct daily dose by age group is to decide on the basis of the weight of the child and the severity of constipation. In any case, it is advisable to seek the doctor's opinion for the most correct dosage. Use the product in pediatric age only after medical advice. The maximum necessary dosage does not normally exceed 30 g of product per day. Based on the dosage indicated above, take the quantity of product with the aid of the measuring device equipped with notches that allow you to dose 0.5 g (first notch), 1 g (second notch) and 2 g (level measuring spoon) of product. Dissolve a level scoop (equal to 2 g) about 1/4 glass of water (about 25 ml). Drink the reconstituted solution. It is possible to divide the daily dose into several administrations. The product can be reconstituted in advance in the appropriate volume of water and the solution stored in the refrigerator covered for up to 24 hours.

It is recommended to take PEGinpol between meals.

Warnings

The oral suspension must be prepared at the time of intake. It is advisable not to take quantities greater than those indicated, as higher doses can cause the onset of unexpected side effects. Do not use PEGinpol for more than 30 consecutive days, if symptoms persist consult your doctor Do not take in case of intolerance to the product. Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to Polyethylene glycol. Do not use in children under 6 months. During treatment with PEGinpol it is advisable to follow an adequate diet accompanied by the administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration; however, it is advisable to consult your doctor. Do not use the device after the expiration date indicated on the package. Do not use in case of damaged packaging. Keep out of reach of children. If not taken, do not take a double dose, but wait and take the next dose. In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

Store in a cool and dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, in the original packaging. The expiry date indicated refers to the product correctly stored in an unopened package.
