PelviK
VAGINAL CONES
VAGINAL CONES
PelviK is an innovative system with three vaginal cones of different weights [White (30 g), Light Pink (47 g), Intense Pink (65 g)] to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor in a practical, effective and autonomous way, following the Dr Kegel was the first expert in this field.
What is the pelvic floor?
The pelvic floor is the system of muscles and ligaments responsible for supporting important organs such as the bladder, uterus and intestines and for the proper function of the urethra, vagina and rectum.
Weakening of the pelvic floor can be caused by:
• pregnancy;
• menopause;
• sustained sporting activity;
• obesity;
• chronic constipation;
• chronic cough;
• heavy physical exertion;
• possible outcomes of surgical interventions;
• family predisposition.
These conditions can lead to:
• urinary incontinence (from stress);
• vaginal prolapses (bladder, uterus, rectum);
• fecal incontinence;
• unsatisfactory and / or painful sexual intercourse.
Given the increase in female longevity, women are likely to spend a significant part of their life with major pelvic floor dysfunctions that interfere in:
• personal (with one's own intimacy, for example: use of diapers for incontinence or pessaries for prolapse with all the resulting problems);
• social (difficulty in leaving home and maintaining interpersonal relationships);
• sexual (personal and / or partner's dissatisfaction), limiting the person's physical and psychological well-being.
PelviK vaginal cones
These vaginal cones were developed by specialists in the field to help women perform pelvic floor exercises correctly.
The vaginal cones PelviK, having a steel sphere inside that moves and emits light vibrations, once inserted into the vagina create a feedback on the vaginal walls, helping the woman to have more perception of the cone and more stimulation on the pelvic muscles, facilitating the exercise and increasing it. 'effectiveness.
The cone, with its weight, tends to come out of the vagina due to gravity, causing the stimulus to contract the perivaginal muscles to prevent them from coming out: the combination of vibration and weight leads to an "automatic training".
This muscle contraction exercise and the progressive and gradual change to heavier cones, effectively strengthens the perineal muscles and allows you to notice an improvement in pelvic tone in a few weeks, immediately perceiving its benefits.
Usage
Get to know your pelvic floor by inserting a finger, washed and lubricated, into the vagina for at least 2 cm
Feel the vaginal walls tighten as the pelvic muscles contract, similar to stopping the flow of urine during lamination.
At first, you will probably have difficulty knowing your pelvic muscles, and feeling the vaginal contraction.
Thanks to the PelviK cones, and their vibrating characteristic, it will be easier to learn to recognize and use the muscles even in the first phases of exercise.
Cleaning of the cone and insertion into the vagina
IMPORTANT: wash your hands thoroughly and disinfect the PelviK vaginal cone with disinfectant solutions or soaps (example: Amuchina or chlorhexidine), rinse it with water and dry it with a soft cloth, do not use brushes or abrasive sponges and avoid scratching the cone, before and after the use.
Using a water-based lubricant, the cone should be inserted more than 3 cm inside the vagina, leaving the tail of the cone on the outside to facilitate its removal.
First approach: start with the lightest cone (White) and find the most comfortable position. The first few times it is recommended to use the pelvic muscles from lying down and then try to stand up, since the cone would tend to come out easily due to a weak pelvic floor.
Training with PelviK
Following Dr. Kegel's original method, one must learn to tighten and lift the pelvic floor with one's own musculature.
Each phase that we go to carry out must be comfortable, even if it can be tiring, since it is a muscle training.
The exercise is started after having inserted the vaginal cone: the pelvic muscles are contracted for about 2 seconds, holding the cone in the vagina.
As you progress with your workout, the 2-second contractions may progressively go beyond 10 seconds.
Start with a few seconds of contraction and repeat 10 times, with a 5/10 second pause between one contraction and the other.
Initially increase the pause time as needed; the important thing is that the contraction time is kept the same in all repetitions.
CAUTION: Do not use the abdominal muscles or buttocks to support the cone, but concentrate on the pelvic muscles. In case of complete absence of pelvic muscle control, consult a specialist.
Note that during training you can check the functionality of your pelvic muscles either by inserting a finger during the contraction, and by feeling the cone rising, or by observing with a mirror the tail of the Pelvic vaginal cone which is shortened during contractions.
Training is recommended at least 3 times a week for about 12 weeks or after at least 3 weeks from the disappearance of symptoms and occasional use for maintaining the pelvic well-being achieved.
The preventive use of vaginal cones is recommended for all women.
Advanced exercises
The more trained your pelvic muscles are, the longer the contraction will last, and the less pause will be needed to finish the training series. Then you can move on to the higher weight, trying to do specific exercises with the cone in the vagina to evaluate your level such as:
• walk for at least one minute;
• go up and down the stairs;
• hopping on the spot for at least 30 seconds;
• cough 10-15 times;
• Crouch down;
• wash your hands under cold water for 1 minute.
After these exercises, you can move on to the next higher weight cone, initially by reducing the seconds of contraction and lengthening the pauses. The timing of the change in level of vaginal cones varies from woman to woman.
Once a good level of training has been reached, the egg can be used for an increasing amount of time during the day and also during the carrying out of other activities such as "automatic exercise".
It is not recommended to use it beyond one hour in a row.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
After 20 weeks of daily and correct use of the vaginal cones, if no improvement in symptoms is found, it is advisable to stop using it and consult a specialist in order to establish the variations of the therapy.
Vaginal cones must NOT be used:
• during pregnancy;
• before 6/8 weeks after the birth;
• during menstruation;
• before the complete healing of the vaginal epithelium of any origin;
• after surgery;
• during infections or problems of the vaginal mucosa;
• if scratched or damaged.
The weight of the eggs can vary by a few grams from the weight indicated on the package.
In case of any health problem, refer to medical advice.
This text does not intend and must not be a substitute for the health-specialist opinion.
Before undergoing any therapy, a consultation with a specialist is always recommended.
Pelvik vaginal cones are made entirely of medical silicone with a homogeneous surface to avoid abrasions during use and for safe and quick cleaning.
Diameter 29 mm
