Peptamen Junior is a complete food that can be used as the only nutritional source in children aged 1 to 10 who show digestive and intestinal function disorders. It is administered through a probe and is available in practical 500 ml Smartflex bottles, self-collapsing, unbreakable and sterile, but above all compatible with ENPlus sets for enteral nutrition. The neutral flavor of the product and the particularly easy-to-digest formula make Peptamen Junior ideal in the weaning phases from parenteral nutrition or following delicate surgical interventions; it is also an excellent food for patients suffering from gastrointestinal diseases, short bowel syndrome, enteritis, cystic fibrosis, pancreatic insufficiency and in general in cases of malnutrition due to digestive disorders. Furthermore, being gluten-free and containing insignificant traces of lactose, this nutritional blend is also ideal for celiacs (but not suitable for those who have an actual allergy to milk proteins).

From a nutritional point of view, Peptamen Junior is balanced: it is normocaloric (1.01 Kcal / ml), while the energy distribution sees a high concentration of carbohydrates (52% of Kcal), 12% of proteins and 36% of lipids . The renal load of solutes of 187 mOsm / l helps to reduce renal stress, while the whey proteins of milk, reduced to small peptides, favor gastric emptying. If administered as the sole nutritional source, 2 to 4 bottles of Peptamen Junior are required; if it supplements the diet, it is recommended to take 1 - 2 bottles.
