Food supplement based on α-lipoic acid (thioptic acid), conjugated linoleic acid, echinacea, quercetin, vitamins, selenium and zinc. The active ingredients of this complex are useful adjuvants in states of neuronal distress, protecting cells from oxidative stress. It can be used as an adjuvant in all neurological syndromes in the presence of hyperoxidic reactions which manifest themselves with disturbances of nervous excitability and altered nervous trophism, in case of peripheral neuropathies.
Α-Lipoic Acid
Fat-soluble coenzyme with antioxidant action. The two active forms in which it occurs both in the aqueous phase (cytoplasm) and in the lipid phase (membrane) of the cells are easily interconvertible through redox reactions. It has shown marked neuro-protective and endothelial-protective properties, defending the nerves from neurovascular damage and acting at the level of the microvascular endothelium, counteracting the degeneration and damage caused by free radicals. In subjects with impaired glucose metabolism, it prevents damage to the glycation of proteins and through physiological metabolic processes, contributes to the normalization of the blood glucose level. Promotes the synthesis of ATP and the regeneration of well-known antioxidants such as glutathione, vitamin C and vitamin E.
Conjugated Linoleic Acid
It modulates the synthesis of arachidonic acid and pro-inflammatory molecules, cometromboxanes, leukotrienes and some prostaglandins and carries out a neuroprotective action against the toxicity induced by glutamate.
Echinacea
Medicinal plant with immunomodulating properties in particular at the level of polymorphonuclear granulocytes and monocyte-macrophages.
Quercetin
Bioflavonoid that exerts an antispastic and immunomodulating action; modulates the action of numerous enzymes involved in inflammatory responses by blocking the release of mediators, such as histamine, by mast cells and basophils, reduces activated neutrophils, stabilizes the membrane. Powerful antioxidant, neutralizes free radicals, inhibits the production phases of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins and leukotrienes, as well as the enzymes phospholipase A2 and lipoxygenase. Quercetin strongly inhibits the aldose reductase enzyme, catalyst for the formation of some substances associated with the complications of diabetes (cataracts, retinopathies, peripheral neuropathies).
Selenium
It is a structural constituent of PHGPX and of numerous enzymes with antioxidant functions.
Zinc
It intervenes in the formation of proteins, in some hormonal functions and in the nervous system, in the processes of growth and repair of tissue damage and in immune defense.
Vitamins E and C
They are recognized antioxidants: vitamin E captures free radicals and neutralizes them; Vitamin C participates in redox reactions and prolongs the action of vitamin E.

How to use
