XD3 is a Vitamin D3 supplement (cholecalciferol).
Vitamin D3 stimulates the absorption of Calcium and Phosphorus in the intestine and regulates the blood levels of Calcium; this activity is essential in the postmenopausal period for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.

Recent studies also indicate that:
- A Vitamin D3 deficiency is associated with an increased incidence of asthma and allergies (Weiss 2007) **.
- Reduced blood levels of Vitamin D3 are related to the severity of asthma and allergies (Brehm 2009) **.
- Reduced blood levels of Vitamin D3 are associated with increased consumption of corticosteroids in asthmatic patients (Searing 2010) **.

Recommended dosage
