The Philips HP6540 / 00 epilator works on current and therefore has a constant power that is not excessive in reality, however I find it very advantageous that the power cable can be removed because it is external. The mini-epilator, the one reserved for the sensitive area, on the other hand, is powered by 1.5 volt AA alkaline batteries that are easily available, the manual does not recommend using rechargeable models even if I can't tell you why. The tweezers' light, on the other hand, needs those tiny batteries that are also used for wristwatches, of course there is one supplied so you don't need to add anything else. The power in general is good and you can choose between two different speeds.
