The human body produces γ-linolenic acid (GLA) from linoleic acid (LA). This reaction is catalyzed by the enzyme Δ6-desaturase (D6D. From γ-linolenic acid the body forms diomo-γ-linolenic acid (DGLA). DGLA is one of the three sources of eicosanoids in metabolism, together with acid. arachidonic acid (AA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). GLA deficiency can occur when there is a reduction in the efficiency of D6D conversion (for example, with advancing age or when there are specific dietary deficiencies) or in disease states in which there is an increased consumption of γ-linolenic acid metabolites.

DHA (decosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), are the 2 most important omega 3 fatty acids for human health. They cannot be produced by the body, but must be introduced in the diet.
DHA contributes to maintaining physiological brain and visual functions. (with a daily intake of 250mg).
EPA and DHA help maintain physiological cardiac function. (with a daily intake of EPA and DHA equal to 250mg each).

HOW TO USE:

4-6 capsules per day, divided before main meals. Do not exceed the indicated doses.
