Guggul rubber
It reduces LDL and VLDL values while increasing HDL values, thus allowing protection against heart disease due to atherosclerosis. The primary mechanism of action in the reduction of cholesterol is the stimulation of the metabolism of LDL cholesterol in the liver, i.e. by increasing the uptake of blood LDL in the liver.

Red fermented rice (Monascuspurpureus)
Useful for keeping serum lipids at optimal levels. Fermented red rice contains among other things starch, fatty acids, phytosterols, isoflavones and monacolins. The most studied of the monacolins is lovastatin known for its beneficial cholesterol-normalizing properties. The action of lovastaine is due to the inhibiting power of an enzyme that participates in the biosynthesis of cholesterol: hydroxymethylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (also known as HMG-CoA reductase). 80% of this complex biosynthetic process takes place in the liver, starting from acetyl-CoA and passing through mevalonic acid, leading to the formation of cholesterol. The lovastatin molecule, being structurally similar to that of HMG-CoA, is able to compete with the enzyme, thus inhibiting its activity in the biosynthetic process.

Beta-sitosterol
It is the most abundant phytosterol in the diet. Phytosterols are widely distributed in the plant kingdom and resemble cholesterol, although the latter is not found in plants. Phytosterols have a cholesterol-lowering effect and the mechanism of action of this cholesterol-lowering activity is not entirely clear. These substances appear to inhibit the absorption of dietary cholesterol and the reabsorption of endogenous cholesterol from the gastrointestinal tract (via the enterohepatic circulation). Consequently, the excretion of cholesterol with feces leads to a decrease in the serum levels of this sterol.

Choline
It seems to be useful above all for the use of cholesterol and fats in the body, in fact it is part of the group of lipotropic substances that prevent the deposition of hepatic lipids. Being a fat and cholesterol solvent, it is used to treat atherosclerosis and hardening of the arteries. It can be effective in treating cases of fatty liver. It is equally important for the health of myelin, a major component of nerve fibers and plays an important role in the transmission of nerve impulses.

Inositol
It contributes to the metabolism of fats and helps to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood. Combined with Choline, it counteracts the hardening of fatty deposits in the arteries and protects the liver, kidneys and heart. The action of Inositol in situations of mild arterial hypertension is also interesting, gradually lowering blood pressure. It is beneficial to those who suffer from chronic constipation thanks to its stimulating action on the musculature of the alimentary canal. It is also used for its importance on the metabolism of nerve cells and for its ability to improve anxiety and prepare for a good restful sleep. The use of Inositol combined with Choline has a positive effect on peripheral diabetic neuropathies. Since large quantities of caffeine can decrease the supply of Inositol present in the body, the dietary supplement of Inositol is recommended for heavy drinkers of coffee, tea, cocoa and other substances containing caffeine.

Gamma-oryzanol
Exclusive active ingredient of rice oil, able to reduce the concentration in the blood of LDL cholesterol, the main cause of cardiovascular diseases. It decreases the intestinal absorption of fats (cholesterol and triglycerides) thus increasing their natural elimination by the body.

Policosanols
Natural blend of long-chain primary aliphatic alcohols, present in various plants. The most interesting components are represented by: triacosanol (30 carbon atoms), tetracosanol (24 carbon atoms), hexacosanol (26 carbon atoms) and above all by octacosanol (28 carbon atoms). Among the various properties attributable to Policosanols, the most interesting, as well as the most studied, are those relating to the cholesterol-lowering action (total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, with simultaneous increase in HDL cholesterol values) both in normocolestermic subjects and in subjects suffering from endogenous hypercholesterolemia ( or type II), to prevent some symptoms that may accompany hardening of the arteries, such as intermittent claudicance. Also worthy of note are the qualities related to the improvement of muscle performance both in terms of energy availability and endurance and speed of the recovery phase.

Chrome
Increases the effectiveness of insulin and its ability to regulate blood sugar. For athletes it is a useful complement because it has an energetic effect as it ensures the rapid uptake of plasma glucose in the tissues where it constitutes a form of energy of rapid use. It can be used in programs for reducing or maintaining body weight as it increases the speed of metabolism in general, saves proteins and therefore conserves muscle mass which burns many calories and therefore more fat; finally, the sense of hunger decreases, especially the desire to eat sweets.

How to use

For a correct use of the product we recommend 1 tablet twice a day with meals.

Not to be used during pregnancy, lactation and in case of therapy with lipid-lowering drugs.
