Plantago Major TM Hering Homeopathic Remedy

Specific for the treatment of inflammations of the oropharyngeal mucosa, in particular in case of cough and bronchitis. It has a soothing and emollient action.

Internal use

Plantain boasts a very long tradition of use in the symptomatic treatment of inflammatory pathologies of the oropharyngeal mucosa such as cough, bronchitis and asthmatic bronchitis. This action is due to the presence in the phytocomplex of mucilages with soothing and emollient properties, which are able to form a protective coating that acts as a screen to irritating agents at the level of the mucous surface. The plant also has antiviral and astringent properties, thanks to the presence of tannins.

External use

For external use, the plantain leaves are used as a soothing and anti-itch in various skin conditions.

Traditional use

In the Middle Ages, since it grew on the streets and was often trampled by passersby, it was considered a panacea for all diseases that involved walking, fatigue, sores and sprains. Galen indicates it as an elective plant in the treatment of malignant ulcers; the Salerno school suggests it for female diseases, to treat bleeding and uterine problems.

How to use

It is recommended to take 40 drops of Plantain mother tincture diluted in a little water, 3 times a day. Alternatively we suggest preparing a half-liter bottle of water with 120 drops of Plantain, to drink throughout the day in small sips.

Contraindications

No secondary or toxic effects are reported in the literature at therapeutic doses, unless there is a particular individual sensitivity. Mucilaginous plants such as Plantain should be taken away from drugs.

Content of the characterizing ingredients for a maximum daily dose of 120 drops corresponding to 2.9g of hydroalcoholic extract of Plantain.
