Poterium Spinosum Tm
Drops In Hydroalcoholic Solution
Poterium spinosum, also known as Pimpinella spinosa (or in Tuscany as spina porci) is a perennial shrub belonging to the Rosaceae family, tall between 30 and 60 cm of Middle Eastern origin (Lebanon in particular) traditionally used in those geographical regions for the prevention and treatment of diabetes and blood sugar related disorders. It grows mainly in southern Europe, Greece, Dalmatia, Cyprus, Crete, Syria, Libya and Tunisia, but also in Italy in arid regions, such as some areas of Sardinia and Sicily.
Historically, the Bedouins have always used it as an antidiabetic, knowing the hypoglycemic virtues. In fact, among these populations it has been observed, as has often happened in the past for other great discoveries (omega 3 and heart attack for the Eskimo population, curry and Alzheimer for the Indians etc ... etc ...) that the Berber populations who made extensive use of it, even though feeding on a diet rich in carbohydrates and sugars, they had a very low incidence of diabetic diseases. In fact, the Bedouins are still used to cooking the roots of this plant for a long time and then sipping it during the day. In this way they are able to maintain a low blood sugar level avoiding the well-known "glycemic peaks" during the day.
In addition to these functions, the potentium spinosum is known to have been used for its peripheral and corononary vasodilating action, antihypertensive and antiarrhythmic, thus proving to be very flexible for the protection of health in old age, but above all for the numerous damages that diabetic disease produces. of the cardiovascular system.
It is a plant of which side effects have never been observed, which in the form of a decoction can be used at a dosage of 20 grams per liter of water, but which can also be usefully used in the form of mother tincture.
