Triticum Vulgare what it is for

Triticum vulgare as a common name is defined as wheat or soft wheat and is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the genus Triticum, family Poaceae.
The aqueous extract is used in pharmacologies for its regenerative properties of the skin which are "exploited" in the treatment of ulcers and pressure sores. Triticum vulgare is also indicated in case of inflammation and altered trophism of the tissues of the female genitalia and in pre and post-surgical prophylaxis in gynecology.

How is Triticum Vulgare used

Triticum vulgare in cream usually proceeds with one or two topical applications. The only known contraindication is hypersensitivity to the active ingredient.

Warnings before using Triticum Vulgare

In clinical studies, side effects, when detected, were represented by mild local reactions at the application site. There are no known episodes of overdose and restrictions on use during pregnancy or lactation.

Excipients contained in Triticum Vulgare

2-phenoxytanol as an excipient.
Other excipients, present in the different formulations, which can rarely cause skin problems include cetyl and stearyl alcohol (contact dermatitis), methyl and propylbarahydroxybenzoate,
belonging to the group of parabens (allergic reactions even delayed), benzalkonium chloride (skin irritation).

Interactions

There are no known drug interactions with the aqueous extract of Triticum vulgare.

How Triticum Vulgare Sun Cream works

Triticum vulgare extract intervenes in tissue repair processes: it stimulates chemotaxis and the maturation of fibroblasts, preponderant cellular elements in the dermis,
intermediate tissue which together with epidermis and hypodermis forms the skin. In case of skin damage,
fibroblasts play a key role because they induce the formation of granulation tissue which functions as a support for the subsequent re-epithelialization process.

The application of Triticum vulgare extract in case of inflammation and altered trophism of the female genital organs was more effective than placebo in improving symptoms such as vaginal dryness,
pain, burning, itching, leucorrhoea, pelvic pain, erythema and vulvar and / or vaginal edema. Triticum vulgare extract has shown therapeutic efficacy comparable to benzydamine hydrochloride in case of bacterial vaginitis.

Format

Triticum Vulgare is sold in a 50ml tube in a 5% cream solution.
