Pro-Kolin Advanced Cat Therapet Complementary Feed

PRO-KOLIN ADVANCED is a dietary complementary feed in palatable paste, intended for particular nutritional purposes with stabilizing microorganisms of the intestinal flora and various prebiotic sources, for the stabilization of physiological digestion in dogs and cats.
The new advanced formula contains an optimal level of binding agents and fibers to support gastrointestinal function in case of risk of digestive disorders and periods when such disorders are present.
Add to the daily diet as indicated in the table (see attachment).

It is recommended to use Pro-Kolin Advanced for 2-3 days and continue by combining the Synbiotic DC complementary feed rich in prebiotics and probiotics for complete support of the gastrointestinal tract functionality.

PROBIOTICS

Pro-Kolin Advanced contains the probiotic bacterium Enterococcus faecium (NCIMB 10415) 4b1707, registered in the European Union. Enterococcus faecium is able to survive through the digestive tract for maximum effectiveness, supporting the gut to maintain a good level of beneficial bacteria and limit non-beneficial species.

PREBIOTICS

Preplex prebiotic is a combination of two different types of prebiotics: fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS) and acacia (gum arabic).
This unique combination supports the growth of beneficial bacteria in several tracts of the digestive system:
Proximal Colon - FOSs help maintain colon health as they are not digested by enzymes in the small intestine.
In the colon, FOS are rapidly fermented by some beneficial bacteria (Bifidobacterium spp. And Lactobacillus spp.) Which in this way increase in number.
Distal Colon - Acacia gum has a strongly branched appearance and complex structure so that it ferments more slowly in the distal colon.

PECTIN

Pectin is a soluble fiber that is rapidly fermented in the colon.
In addition to being an effective prebiotic, it also has a soothing effect on the intestinal lining.

PSYLLIUM

Psyllium is a soluble dietary fiber that has the ability to absorb excess water in the gastrointestinal tract to form a viscous, gel-like substance.
Increases fecal viscosity by promoting normalization of intestinal transit time.1,2,3

BINDING SUBSTANCES

Pro-Kolin Advanced contains certain types of clay as a binder to support normal digestive function.

Different clay forms have different properties which affect their absorption and adsorption capacity

• ABSORPTION - the excess liquid present within the gastrointestinal tract penetrates the clay molecule.
• ADSORPTION - is the ability to bind compounds such as bacteria, viruses and enterotoxins on the outer surface of the clay molecule.

The combined use of kaolin with excellent absorbency and montmorillonite with high adsorbing power guarantees an optimal balance between absorption and adsorption, providing a double benefit for the animal.

BETA-GLUCANS

Beta-glucans are able to support the innate immune system.
Immune cells such as macrophages are equipped with dectin-1 receptors that recognize and respond to beta-glucans resulting in an increase in antimicrobial activity, an improvement in cell defense and resistance to disease.4,5

TAURINE

Only present in Pro-Kolin Advanced for cats
It is an essential amino acid for cats and is required to support many physiological processes such as vision, digestion, heart muscle function and the maintenance of a healthy immune system.
Homemade diets, which may be recommended for cats with digestive disorders, are often deficient in taurine.
Pro-Kolin Advanced for cats provides valuable support to maintain good levels of taurine throughout the period in which it is necessary to resort to such diets.
