Proctilor Italian Pharmaceutical Company Rectal Cream

Medical device with mechanical action with specific properties of protection and adjuvant of the natural repair process of the rectal mucosa.

Proctilor rectal cream adheres to the rectal mucosa creating a protective layer and isolating the damaged, erythematous or ulcerated areas. Proctilor rectal cream decreases pain symptoms with a rapid reduction in burning and pain and promotes the natural repair process of the lesions of the anal canal epithelium and rectal mucosa by improving the resistance of the mucosa to attacks by irritating agents.
It is indicated in actinic proctitis from radiotherapy treatment of the pelvic district and in proctitis undergoing chemotherapy or combined treatments (radio and chemotherapy).

It is indicated in all pathologies involving lesions of the anorectal mucosa such as

• Acute and chronic anal fissures;
• Fistulas
• Anal and peri-anal abscesses;
• Isolated ulcers of the rectum;
• Proctites of various kinds;
• Varicose hemorrhoidal syndrome (external and internal hemorrhoids);
• Post recto-colonoscopy treatment.

It does not contain Cortisone. Metal tested (Nickel, Chromium, Cobalt <0.01 ppm)

How to use

Prevention : Apply 2 times a day.
Treatment : Apply 3 times a day, for no more than 3 weeks consecutively or until the symptoms disappear. Consult your doctor for a longer use if you do not notice an improvement in the clinical status.

Immediately before using the product, with alvo free from faeces, cleanse the anus and the surrounding area with specific detergents or neutral pH. Wash your hands before handling the cannula. Open the tube of the product to be applied. Screw the cannula onto the open tube. Remove the cap from the end of the endorectal cannula. Squeeze the tube until the cannula is full, releasing a small amount of product in order to lubricate the cannula itself. Lubricate the previously cleansed perianal areas with a small amount of gel. Gently insert the cannula into the rectum. Squeeze the tube again until the correct quantity of product is dispensed. Remove the cannula from the anal cavity. Spread any excess gel from the anus around the perianal area.

Components

Zinc-L-Carnosine, Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, Glycerin, C12-20 Acid PEG-8 Ester, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Juice, Microcrystalline Leaf Cellulose (and ) Cellulose Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Propylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben.

Cannula cleaning

After each application, the cannula must be thoroughly cleaned according to the following procedure:
After use, wipe the outside of the cannula with a clean paper towel.
Clean the cannula inside with a clean cotton swab.
Wipe the outside again with a clean paper towel.
Rinse the cannula in and out with warm water (40 ° C) for about 1 minute.
Dry the cannula on the outside with a clean paper towel.
Put the protective cap back on.
Keep the cannula in the box.
After the procedure carry out a visual check of the cannula and, if residues are visible, repeat the procedure from step 4. Repeat the cleaning procedure before use from step 4 if the cannula is not used daily, taking care to remove the protective cap.
