Proctonorm® is a mucoadhesive gel for anal, perianal and endorectal use based on hyaluronic acid enriched with plant components with a protective, emollient and soothing action.

Indications

It protects the compromised anal and perianal surfaces giving relief from pain, burning and itching and helps to counteract the onset of irritation and rubbing lesions in the perianal area.

Action

Adjuvant in the treatment of symptoms associated with anorectal disorders such as haemorrhoids, proctitis, anal and perianal fissures.

How does Proctonorm® gel work?

It protects the compromised anal and perianal surfaces by limiting their interactions with external factors, in order to counteract the symptoms related to lesions and fissures, to prevent the onset of infections and the recurrence of wounds. It gives relief from pain, burning and itching and helps to counteract the onset of irritation and rubbing lesions in the perianal area. Not greasy.

Method of use and dosage

Product suitable for anal, perianal and endorectal use.

• ANAL AND PERIANAL USE: Place the product on clean fingers and apply with a light massage in the affected area (perianal and / or anal). After application, wash your hands thoroughly. Close after use. Apply 2/3 times a day and, when possible, after each bowel movement. Use for no more than 3 weeks or until the symptoms disappear, consult your doctor if you do not notice an improvement in the clinical status.

• ENDORECTAL USE: Remove the cap, mount the applicator and squeeze until a small amount of product comes out to lubricate the cannula. Gently insert the cannula into the rectum. Compress until the product is completely released, taking care to leave a small amount available to be applied also on the external area. Apply 1/2 times a day as needed, whenever possible after evacuation. Use for no more than 3 weeks or until the symptoms disappear, consult your doctor if you do not notice an improvement in the clinical status.
Paraben Free - Contains no perfume.

Warnings and Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to one of the components. Since complete data are not available, use during pregnancy is not recommended.

• Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one of the components.
• In case of rectal bleeding, consult your doctor before using any treatment.
• Consult your doctor if irritation, pain or discomfort arise as a result of application. • Consult your doctor if you do not notice an improvement in the clinical status as a result of the treatment.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• The product is not intended for pediatric use.
• Do not use if the primary packaging is not intact.
• Carry out the application in hygienic conditions.
• After use, wash your hands before closing the product.
• Interaction with other drugs or medical devices has not been evaluated, seek medical advice before concomitant use with other products.

Ingredients and Composition

Aqua, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, peg-8, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium hyaluronate, vp / va copolymer, sodium acetate, chlorhexidine digluconate, Sophora japonica L. extract tit. 93% in dihydroquercetin, mentha piperita oil, menthol.
