The prebiotic component consists of fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS).
Not being hydrolyzed by digestive enzymes, nor absorbed by the mucous membrane of the small intestine, FOS are able to reach the colon intact where they are selectively fermented by the beneficial component of the intestinal microflora, in particular by Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria, favoring the balance of the intestinal flora.

How to use
