Contraindications / Precautions for use | |
Should the patient experience a sensation of pain, cold or paraesthesia distal to the bandage, it must be removed immediately. It is important to carefully consider the size and shape of the limb, because the system does not protect vulnerable areas from excessive pressure in patients with very thin legs or prominent shin crests, unless an additional amount of Profore # 1 Absorbent Bandage is used. Instructions for Use 1 - Profore WCL sterile layer in contact with the wound. Apply PROFORE WCL (sterile) in contact with the wound by pulling it out of the package using sterile forceps and hold it in place until covered with Profore # 1. 2 - Profore # 1 - Absorbent bandage Apply starting from the metatarsal heads up to the knee using a spiral technique with 50% overlap. The bandage should not be tight. 3 - Profore # 2- Cotton crepe bandage Apply starting from the metatarsal heads up to the knee, overlapping the Profore # 1, with a spiral technique and overlapping of 50%. Use some plaster to fix it. 4 - Profore # 3 - Lightweight, highly elastic compression bandage Apply starting from the metatarsal heads up to the knee with the «8» technique using a tension and an overlap of 50%. Refer to the yellow line as a guide for proper overlap. Secure the dressing with plaster. 5 - Profore # 4 - Flexible cohesive bandage Apply starting from the metatarsal heads up to the knee; the bandage must be applied with a spiral technique, a tension and an overlap of 50%. Apply light pressure to make sure the bandage fits snugly against itself. Apply the bandage quickly to the foot to reduce any swelling of the material on the front of the ankle. Format Pack with 1 Kit. The complete kit includes 4 bandages + contact dressing. |
