Medical device for topical use in cream for the treatment and prevention of nail hyperkeratosis of the hands and feet (nail psoriasis).
The high concentration urea (30%), suitably stabilized, acts as a superficial keratolytic and exerts a marked moisturizing and emollient effect. Repeated daily skin application softens hyperkeratosis, reducing its thickness, facilitating the renewal of the nail plate and facilitating the cutting of the nail. The practical brush allows a defined application on the area to be treated.

Composition

Urea 30%, gluconolactone, lactic acid, glycerin, emulsifiers, gelling agents, stabilizers, demineralized water qs 100.

Intended use

Prevention and treatment of psoriasis and nail hyperkeratosis.

Directions for use and warnings

Press lightly on the tube and apply the cream with the brush on the nail plate morning and evening or several times a day according to the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. Massage lightly to facilitate absorption. The effectiveness of the preparation can be increased with an occlusive dressing, to be applied in the evening. Do not apply nail polish or decoration or false nails during treatment. Do not apply on wounds and periungual fissures. Avoid touching the eyes immediately after application; in case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly. Do not use in case of known allergies to the components. Keep out of reach of children. Do not expose to the sun and frost. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 30 ° C.

Do not use after the expiration date. Do not use if primary container is damaged. For external use only.

Side effects

The topical use of urea, even in high percentages, has rare and mild side effects (skin rashes, itching, irritation and allergic contact dermatitis). In case of adverse reactions such as persistent burning, blisters, redness, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
