Intensive exfoliating gel - UREA 40%

Medical device for topical use in gel for the treatment of dermatological manifestations of psoriasis, such as skin plaques and marked xerosis. The high concentration urea (40%), suitably stabilized and conveyed, acts as a skin exfoliant and exerts an important moisturizing and emollient effect. Repeated skin application facilitates the rapid removal of hyperkeratotic plaques, characteristic of psoriasis, reduces itching and related inflammation, restoring the physiological process of keratinization.

Composition

Urea 40%, gluconolactone, lactic acid, ceramide, gelling agents, stabilizers, demineralized water qba 100.

Intended use

Treatment and prevention of hyperkeratosis, skin plaques and related symptoms (itching, erythema, eczema) in patients with psoriasis localized in the skin and scalp.

Directions for use and warnings

Apply the gel on hyperkeratotic areas once or twice a day or otherwise according to medical advice, massaging lightly until absorbed. Wash your hands before and after application. Do not use other topical products concomitantly unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist. The product can also be used on the scalp and, in this case, does not require subsequent washing.
Do not apply to lesions of any other nature or to mucous membranes. Avoid touching the eyes immediately after application; in case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly. Do not use in case of known allergies to the components. Keep out of reach of children. Do not expose to the sun and frost. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 30 ° C. In the event of accidental exposure to higher temperatures, ammonia may develop inside the tube which does not compromise the efficacy and safety of the product. For this purpose, a tube with a larger capacity than the content is used. If kept at a temperature below 10 ° C, the product could crystallize. The phenomenon becomes reversible if the product is brought back to room temperature.

Do not use after the expiration date.
Do not use if primary container is damaged. For external use only.

Side effects

The topical use of urea, even in high percentages, has rare and mild side effects (skin rashes, itching, irritation and allergic contact dermatitis). In case of adverse reactions such as persistent burning, blisters, redness, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
