Ranunculus Bulbosus 7ch Boiron Homeopathic Medicine
The bulbous buttercup or botton d'oro, of the Ranuncolaceae family, is a perennial, bulbous herb with an erect stem 40-50 cm long; the flower has a bright yellow color. It commonly grows in meadows, fields or along paths. The mother tincture is prepared with the whole fresh and flowering plant. According to Guermonprez it contains, like other Ranuncolaceae including Pulsatilla, protoanemonina and anemonina, sedative and antipyretic substances.
Main indications
Ranunculus bulbosus acts on the skin, mainly treating herpes zoster and, according to some authors such as Sieffert, ophthalmic herpes zoster. Furthermore, it is effective in vesicular dermatoses or in hyperkeratotic ones such as hypersensitive corns at the slightest contact. At a mucous level it is effective in pollinosis characterized by intense nasal itching. Finally, in neuralgia, it treats post-zosterian intercostal or ophthalmic pains.
Characteristic symptoms and modalities
Sharp, stabbing pains, pains that seem to be caused by an internal ulceration, bruising pains. These symptoms worsen with movement and deep inspiration, with touch and touch, with wet cold, changes in weather and temperature.
Dosage
In the treatment of painful intercostal and ophthalmic neuralgia caused by herpes zoster and in postzosterian pain it is useful to prescribe, at a dilution of 15 CH, 5 granules at the onset of painful crises, reducing with improvement; in vesicular and hyperkeratotic dermatoses, it is useful to prescribe, at a dilution 7 - 9 CH, 5 granules twice a day; while in pollinosis characterized by intense nasal itching 5 granules at 30 CH upon awakening.
