Powder for oral solution

Symptomatic treatment of constipation. Acts within 24-72 hours. Macrogol is a water-soluble inert polymer with a high molecular weight that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake by retaining it in the faeces. It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis, counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecal impacts. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrical imbalances when taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

How to use

Use the measuring cup contained in the package to measure out the powder: fill it level and not pressed, then remove the excess amount of product with the blade of a knife.

Adults and children over 12 years of age
2 to 10 level scoops per day. The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for smooth evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose needed does not normally exceed 10 scoops per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50ml for each scoop) and take immediately. It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose is to be taken (2 scoops per day). For larger doses divide the intake between morning and evening. If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Children aged 6 months to 12 years

• From 6 to 10 kg: 1 level scoop per day;
• From 10 to 15 kg: 1-2 level scoops per day;
• From 16 to 20 kg: 2-3 level scoops per day;
• From 21 to 43 kg: 3-4 level scoops per day.

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children. Administration to children should be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult. Consult your doctor before use in pregnancy and lactation. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not use if package is opened or damaged. The product can reduce the residence time in the intestine and therefore the absorption of medicinal products for oral use. It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor in case of simultaneous intake of medicinal products for oral use, which must, in any case, be administered at a distance of at least 2 hours. In case of unwanted reactions, stop the treatment and consult your doctor.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and away from heat sources. The expiry date refers to the correctly stored product.
