People who have difficulty swallowing fluids are particularly exposed to the risk of dehydration and an insufficient water intake can negatively affect the general health of the patient, who is potentially already in a weakened physical condition.
Resource Aqua + Gelificato offers a complete solution to safely quench the thirst of those with dysphagia, a recurring situation in geriatric patients, or in cases of maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery, neurological and neuromotor rehabilitation, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or individuals with stroke.
Resource Aqua + Gelled is a ready-to-use drink, able to effectively stimulate the swallowing reflex, thus facilitating the ingestion process.
Resouce Aqua + Gelled is made in two versions, with or without sugar and in a wide variety of flavors, designed to make the product more palatable and promote better compliance. Among the sugar-free option, you can choose between Orange, Grenadine and Grapefruit aromas, while the sweetened version is offered in Lemon, Apple-Pear, Mint and Peach flavors.
A portion of gelled water provides 115ml to 124ml of water. The ideal consumption varies between 4 and 8 jars per day (490-980 ml of water), or otherwise according to medical prescription. The gelatinous consistency and neutral PH allow the patient to be safely hydrated without irritating the mucous membranes or exposing him to risk when swallowing.
