What makes Ulmo Honey so special?
VERY HIGH PURITY
Thanks to the numerous scientific studies carried out by the Pontifical University of Chile, it has been possible to verify the purity of Ulmo Honey, as this can also vary significantly depending on the position of the hives and the extraction process. The results show that 90% of the nectar collected by our bees comes from the Ulmo flower: it is therefore almost pure Ulmo Honey.
ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES
Ulmo Honey has a strong antioxidant effect despite being a completely natural product. Research carried out has quantified the antioxidant effect of honey in about 70% compared with an antioxidant product of pharmaceutical matrix. Ulmo Honey can fight the aging processes in a completely natural way.
ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTIES
Numerous international scientific studies confirm the high antibacterial power. It is highlighted that this action is particularly effective in preventing and fighting extremely insidious bacteria such as Staphylococcus and Escherichia coli, which are often also resistant to tough antibiotics, containing methicillin. In vitro it has been observed that Ulmo honey inhibits the growth of other pathogenic bacteria such as Candida albicans, Salmonella typhi, Enterobacter aerogenes and has a fungicidal and fungal action on the types Mucor, Rhizopus, Aspergillus.
CRYSTALLIZATION OF HONEY
ULMO honey is collected in Chile in the period January / April (season where it is warmer in that hemisphere) and placed in pots in Italy with only the filtration and deaeration processes (to remove any impurities and the air): it does not undergo treatments thermal in order not to compromise its health characteristics. For honeys loaded with glucose and poor in water (such as Ulmo Honey), crystallization can take place after 2-3 months, also coinciding with the lowering of temperatures.
Crystallized honey takes on a light and creamy color, but ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT CHANGE its organoleptic, health and quality characteristics, on the contrary:
