What is Rinorex Aerosol used for?
RINOREX AEROSOL CON BICARBONATE is a hypertonic saline solution with 3% NaCl, sterile, ready to use, with controlled pH and buffered with sodium bicarbonate.
Solution indicated in aerosol therapy as an adjunct in the treatment of respiratory diseases with impaired mucociliary clearance.
Composition
Water, Sodium chloride, Sodium bicarbonate.
Directions for use and doses
In aerosol therapy RINOREX AEROSOL WITH BICARBONATE can be used alone or to dilute other drugs, in the latter case follow the instructions on the package of the drug to be diluted.
The 3% hypertonic saline solution cannot be associated, because it is visually incompatible, with sodium chromium glycate.
For use:
• Carefully wash the nebulization kit strictly following the manufacturer's instructions for the inhalation device used.
• Pour the contents of the vial into the nebulizer kit and breathe in quietly.
Dosage
It is recommended to use a 3ml vial twice a day or according to medical prescription. Where deemed appropriate, it is also possible to start with a lower volume and progressively rise.
Packaging
One pack contains 25 sterile disposable 3ml vials.
Accessories
The DM does not include accessories, unless it is used in aerosol therapy.

The product is for inhalation use only. The vial is not intended for oral use.
The vial is single-dose and disposable, non-resealable and non-reusable once opened.
Inhalation of 3% hypertonic saline solution in particularly sensitive patients could cause episodes of bronchospasm; in this case, stop the treatment and consult the doctor in order to set up suitable supportive therapy (e.g. use of bronchodilators).
In some cases, nebulization can cause a slight and transient sense of local irritation.
