Composition

N-acetyl cysteine

It is a mucolytic, derived from a natural amino acid with a fluidifying action on the mucous secretions of the respiratory tract. The effective activity on the mucous component of secretions is due to the presence in the molecule of a free hydrogen sulphide group (-SH) capable of attacking and splitting the SS bonds responsible for the aggregation of proteins and therefore of the high viscosity of the mucus. Furthermore, N-acetylcysteine is able to enhance the antioxidant system of glutathione, one of the most important intracellular defense mechanisms. The action of acetylcysteine and that of glutathione are synergistic in stimulating the activity of T lymphocytes and macrophages with positive immune effects, particularly desirable in case of respiratory diseases caused by viruses and bacteria.

C vitamin

It is a water-soluble vitamin, necessary for the body and certainly of considerable importance for the immune system. In fact, it increases the resistance of the organism, strengthens the function of phagocytes, increases the production of antibodies, stimulates the synthesis of interferon, destroys oxygenated free radicals, intervenes in the development of fibroblasts, in the synthesis of collagen, strengthening bones, muscles and cartilage, in the formation of adrenal hormones, it promotes the absorption of iron by increasing the rate of hemoglobin, zinc, calcium, magnesium, etc.

Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM)

MSM is a bioavailable source of Sulfur which contributes to the operation of sulfur, essential for the synthesis of proteins, hormones, connective tissues and enzymes. As a central element of collagen, sulfur participates in the body in preventing inflammation and facilitates the recovery of connective tissues. Grindelia eg

It has expectorant, anti-catarrhal, cough sedative, spasmolytic and soothing properties for throat irritations. The mechanism of action of Grindelia is mediated by its various constituents (resins, saponins, essential oil) and is expressed at different levels of cough. In fact, the saponins through their excito-secreting action, cause a slight irritation of the gastric mucosa which determines an indirect stimulus of the muco-ciliary reflex thus inducing the production of more fluid bronchial secretions. Furthermore, coming into contact with mucus, due to their ability to lower surface tension, they make it more fluid and easily eliminated with expectoration.

Zinc

It is a metal present in trace amounts in the body, especially in bones and muscles. It is an essential trace element as it is necessary for the correct performance of multiple functions of the organism. It is often used for its immunostimulating ability, to treat recurrent infections, and to prevent seasonal ailments.
