Body cream based on salicylic acid, lactic acid and 10% Urea with a strongly keratolytic and moisturizing action for consistent skin thickening, particularly dry skin, psoriasis, eczema.

Composition

Salicylic acid
Active ingredient with high keratolytic activity, as it is able to selectively break the keratin protein chain, abundantly present in corneocytes. At the cutaneous level, salicylic acid decreases the cohesive forces of the corneocytes. In this way the desquamation of hyperpigmented keratinocytes is favored, at the same time stimulating cell renewal. The final effect promoted by salicylic acid is surprising: the “new” keratinocytes, being less rich in melanic pigment, give the skin a uniform, smooth and luminous appearance. It is also used for its bacteriostatic and soothing properties. In fact, it quickly penetrates into inflamed lesions by exercising these functions, without causing obvious irritation phenomena.

Lactic acid
Organic acid belonging to the category of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), substances with keratolytic action capable of breaking the bonds that are created between keratinocytes.
Lactic acid has superior moisturizing and exfoliating capabilities compared to other AHAs, resulting in exceptional and long-lasting hydration. Being a natural component of our body, it is well tolerated, strongly limiting all the irritative actions that can occur in the treatments.

10% Urea (Leviderm 10) - 30% Urea (Leviderm 30) - 50% Urea (Leviderm 50)
Molecule that reconstitutes the natural moisturizing factor of the epidermis (NMF), known for its properties as a moisturizer and softener. For cosmetic products it is used as a reinforcer for the treatment of eczema, psoriasis and keratinization. Urea has keratolytic properties, as it promotes the detachment of superficial dead cells and consequently skin regeneration, leaving the skin soft and smooth. It is also used to stimulate skin regeneration and restore the skin's "barrier" functions. In cosmetics, urea can be used with variable dosages between 3% and 40%, in formulations such as creams, lotions, shampoos, gels and body wash. At concentrations below 10% it is mainly used in moisturizing cosmetic products thanks to its activity as a humectant; with a concentration of around 20% it is used as a keratolytic, while at dosages above 40% it helps to remove calluses on hands and feet.
