Composition

Alpha lipoic acid
It is a very small molecule, made up of a chain of eight carbon atoms and two sulfur atoms, located at the end. In nature it exists in two forms that are easily interconvertible through redox reactions: as cyclic disulfide, the oxidized form and as dihydrolipoic acid (DHLA), the reduced open chain form.
Due to its structural characteristics, alpha lipoic acid has a high antioxidant power in both forms as it is active against numerous radical species and is absolutely essential for our body to counteract the damage associated with the formation of free radicals. It also strengthens and completes the defensive network set up by the other antioxidant molecules, in fact it participates in various antioxidative mechanisms such as the regeneration of reduced Glutathione (GSH), ascorbic acid, and Vitamin E. It therefore protects the skin from oxidation, helping to maintain the integrity of the dermis and is able to prevent and reduce the effects of aging.

Green tea eg
Extracted from the leaves of green tea (Camelia sinensis) they are plant metabolites belonging to the category of flavonoids. Catechins represent more than 80% of the polyphenols present in green tea and are mainly represented by:

Epigallocatechin 3-Gallate (EGCG)
Epigallocatechin (EGC)
Epicatechin 3-Gallate (ECG)
Epicatechin (EC)

although most of the biological effects are attributed to EGCG. Catechins are hydrogen acceptors or donors and react effectively with reactive oxygen species and therefore have a high antioxidant action, also enhancing other antioxidant systems such as those in which Vitamin A is involved. a lower incidence of cardiovascular diseases, a decrease in total cholesterol levels, an improvement in blood circulation and arterial pressure; they also modulate the immune response, also perform an anti-inflammatory action and at the cutaneous level they exert a photoprotective effect reducing the damage induced by UV rays.

Gotu kola eg
It is a herbaceous plant native to the tropical and subtropical wetlands of India, Indonesia, South America, Madagascar and tropical areas of Africa. The bio-pharmacological actions of Centella Asiatica are attributable to the active ingredients present in the dry extract such as asiaticoside, Asian acid and madecassic acid, which exert a dermostimulating and microcirculatory activation action. In particular, these active ingredients stimulate the activity of the fibroblasts of the dermis to the synthesis of native collagen (type I and III), resulting in an improvement of the connective structure of the dermis and of the fundamental substance, rich in hyaluronic acid, maximizing its ability to retaining water, which is important to ensure a good water content of the skin. The flavonoid component of Centella asiatica extract exerts a capillary protective action, favoring the maintenance of tone and elasticity of the vessel walls, counteracting excessive endothelial permeability and restoring the normal balance between capillary circulation, supply of nutrients and oxygen at the level of fabrics. Flavonoids act on the dermal microcirculation, increasing the flow of blood and thus facilitating the assimilation of oxygen and nutritional elements.

Vitis vinifera
The dry extract of Vitis vinifera contains proanthocyanidins, polyphenolic substances naturally contained in grape seeds, blueberry berries, red cabbage, aubergines, black and green tea and red wine. These polyphenols exert a marked anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial activity. The antimicrobial activity is carried out by counteracting the phenomenon of bacterial adhesion of pathogenic strains to the epithelial and endothelial surfaces, a fundamental prerequisite for the development of colonization and infection processes. Proanthocyanidins prevent peroxidation of membrane phosphatidylcholines, preserving the integrity of the endothelial and epithelial cell wall, and exert antioxidant activity by neutralizing oxygen free radicals. Proanthocyanidins are also useful for improving and maintaining skin elasticity, an effect that appears to be due to a stabilizing action on collagen and elastin.

Vitamin E
It is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for humans, present in animal and vegetable fats and oils. Vitamin E plays an important antioxidant role in preventing the process of lipid peroxidation and oxidation of essential cellular constituents, triggered by the action of free radicals. It therefore stabilizes cell membranes, protects DNA and counteracts skin aging induced by environmental pollution and UV rays (photoaging).

L-Tyrosine, L-Cystine and Riboflavine
Active ingredients with trophic action on the keratinocytes of the dermis. Tyrosine and cystine are amino acids involved in the biosynthesis process of melanin which leads to the production of eumelanin (starting from tyrosine) and pheomelanin (starting from cystine) respectively. Riboflavin, on the other hand, is an essential component of coenzymes involved in numerous metabolic pathways capable of accelerating the natural process of melanogenesis, ensuring greater protection against damage induced by solar radiation.
